Rev. Zeke Haselden | Senior Pastor
I grew up in Calhoun County, graduating from Weaver High School and earned a B.S. in Accounting from Jacksonville State University. After receiving God's call to the ministry, I attended the Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, earning a Master of Divinity. I was ordained as an Elder in 1981 and have served churches in the North Alabama Conference for the past 40 years. I have served on the Conference Board of Equitable Salaries, the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry and as the Vice-Chairperson of the University of North Alabama Wesley Foundation. A certified National Church Development consultant, I have traveled extensively in the Holy Land leading Bible study groups. I began my ministry here at St. Luke in June of 2014.
I am grateful for your interest in our website. St. Luke is a wonderful church and I would like to invite you to join us as we seek to live out our Christian experience in the body of Christ and in the world together. You will find many opportunities at St. Luke to participate in the five fundamental purposes of the church: worship, fellowship, discipleship, serving, and evangelism. Together we can experience, explore, and express the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Freda Harwell | Office Manager
Through the years, God has allowed me opportunities to serve Him in a variety of areas including working with children and teens, praising Him through Worship Choir, participating in mission trips, facilitating and teaching classes and in many other ways. The Lord has given me a heart for service, and I pray that above all He will lead me in His paths alone. My life has truly been enriched and blessed by Godly family members and friends who have been living examples of His amazing grace.
Serving in the capacity of Office Manager to the St. Luke UMC family is a new and different opportunity presented to me by God. I trust His leadership, and my heart's desire is to be a blessing to those I serve!
My husband, Bill, and I together have a daughter, two sons, one grandson and three granddaughters. God has given us the special blessing of seeing each of our "Grands" (grandchildren) accept Jesus as their Savior, and follow Him in baptism. For our family we claim God's promise in Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
At home, our "babies" Sheba and Solomon (Siamese cats) provide constant and loving companionship. In addition to spending time with our grandchildren, I love landscaping (where my yard is a constant "work in progress"), researching family history and ancestry, travel, sports and reading. Bill is an avid golfer - in fair or foul weather, rain or sunshine!
My "foundation" verse in God's word is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know what I have planned for you, says the Lord. I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope."

Pam Miller | Choir Director/Pianist
I enjoy leading our worship community in both traditional hymns and contemporary worship selections. Our choir and soloists also add so much to our worship gatherings as we praise the Lord together.
I extend a cordial welcome for you to come and join us at our Blended Gathering on Sunday mornings!
Ray Phillips | Director, Music Ministries
Ray comes to St. Luke as a 30-year veteran of music directing and training. He served the United Methodist Church for 25 years prior to retiring in 2010.
Ray's choir at Trinity UMC was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2006. Trinity UMC joined other choirs in a 200 voice choir that presented Handel's Messiah. They were accompanied by the New England Symphony Orchestra directed by Maestro John Rutter, who organized and directed many choirs for the annual "Songfest Concert."
Ray is a 52-year drummer, 35-year bass player, studio musician, piano tuner and also has a background in drama.
Ray says: "I am very excited and honored to be added to the staff as Director of St. Luke's Music Ministry. My prayer is that I can give my musical best to the Lord and this church body to bring others to a closer walk with Him."
